Within the team, I contribute to the study of the interactions between Venturia inaequalis and its host, the apple tree. My work focuses primarily on implementing and developing molecular biology approaches to investigate the mechanisms involved in the adaptation of the fungus to the apple tree.

I am responsible for the team’s molecular biology activities and contribute to the development of new tools for the functional study of V. inaequalis genes. I work with both heterologous and homologous systems, including the development of cloning methods, fungal genetic transformation, and transient expression in apple.

These approaches are applied to the study of genes involved in plant–pathogen interactions, with the aim of gaining a better understanding of the mechanisms underlying virulence and recognition between V. inaequalis and the apple tree. My work also includes training and supporting team members in experimental techniques and facilitating the transfer of technical expertise and know-how.
