The collection's missions are to preserve resources and associated data, to facilitate access to these resources for the international scientific community and to promote these resources.

Associated networks: the collection is part of the CIRM network (INRA network of 5 collections of microorganisms) and is part of the RARe infrastructure (Ressources Agronomiques pour la Recherche).
