SOJASUR (2025-2028) - Regional pre-competitive research project

Removing the obstacles to soya production in Brittany - Pays de la Loire and ensuring its inclusion in agricultural rotations

The SOJASUR project aims to remove the obstacles to soya production in Brittany - Pays de la Loire and secure its inclusion in agricultural rotations. North of the Loire, it is difficult to grow such a crop, but climate change may offer local players new prospects. The 12 partners in the SOJASUR project therefore wanted to join forces and work together on this crop (conventional and organic farming) for use in animal and human foodstuffs.

Several types of complementary work are planned:
-> Co-design trajectories, tools and identify the potential of various scenarios for a soya sector in the west of France.
-> Search for agronomic and physiological solutions to overcome the obstacles to soya production in Brittany - Pays de la Loire: characterisation of the performance and sensitivity to cold of early varieties, experiments in stations and on farmers' farms (crop associations, sowing densities, sowing depth, etc.), evaluation of the germinative qualities and use value of the seed
