Head of the cryopreservation programme for apple and pear genetic resources at the RosePom BRC :

I'm developing innovative methods for cryopreserving apple and pear accessions at ultra-low temperature in nitrogen vapour. This unique collection is an emergency bank within our system for maintaining and preserving our collections of the most important genetic resources.

Head of the pear breeding programme:

In partnership with CEP Innovation, we are developing a pear breeding programme. The aims of this programme are to provide professionals with hybrids that meet a range of important agronomic criteria (regularity of production, level of production, cosmetic aspect and high level of fruit quality, etc.) while guaranteeing a good level of tolerance to the main pear pathogens (scab, fire blight, psyllid, etc.).

Head of the pear hybrid pre-selection evaluation programme:

I evaluate the elite hybrids of the variety creation programme within a multi-site system in collaboration with CEP Innovation nurserymen. The aim is to identify the hybrids to be included in level 1 and then level 2 trials coordinated by the CTIFL (a prerequisite for their inclusion in the catalogue).
