I study the implications of oxidative homeostasis, in particular reactive oxygen species (ROS) metabolism (production and detoxification), in the developmental and adaptive responses of plants.  I am particularly interested in the involvement of ROS in the establishment of the architecture of ornamental plants through the process of bud break of rosebushes and its regulation by the environment, particularly by light.
